Tour Plan

Day 1: Arrival in Dar es Salaam – Transfer to Mikumi National Park

Upon your arrival at Julius Nyerere International Airport in Dar es Salaam, you will be greeted by our representative. After a short briefing, begin your safari adventure with a drive to Mikumi National Park. Enjoy lunch upon arrival at your lodge, followed by an afternoon game drive where you may spot elephants, giraffes, lions, and a variety of antelope species. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Full Day in Mikumi National Park

Spend a full day exploring Mikumi’s open savannahs and lush woodlands. Mikumi is known for its wildlife abundance and offers great opportunities to spot large mammals, such as buffaloes, zebras, and hippos. After a packed lunch in the bush, continue your game drives through the park. Dinner and overnight at your lodge.

Day 3: Mikumi to Udzungwa Mountains National Park

After breakfast, head to the Udzungwa Mountains, a haven for hikers and nature lovers. Once you arrive, embark on a guided hike to the Sanje Waterfalls, where you can cool off in the natural pools and admire the stunning views. The Udzungwa Mountains are also home to rare primates and diverse birdlife. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Full Day in Udzungwa Mountains National Park

Spend the day trekking in the lush forests of Udzungwa, discovering its unique biodiversity. This park is known for its endemic species, including the Udzungwa red colobus monkey and the Sanje mangabey. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the forest and continue exploring the park’s hidden trails before returning to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Udzungwa to Ruaha National Park

After breakfast, drive to Ruaha National Park, Tanzania’s largest and most remote national park. Enjoy lunch upon arrival, followed by a sunset game drive. Ruaha’s diverse landscapes are home to large herds of elephants, lions, and even rare species like the African wild dog. After your game drive, return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Full Day in Ruaha National Park

Today, you will enjoy a full day of game drives in Ruaha, exploring the vast savannahs, baobab-studded plains, and the mighty Ruaha River. The park is rich in wildlife, with elephants, lions, leopards, and cheetahs frequently sighted. After a packed lunch in the bush, continue your safari, spotting various bird species and smaller animals. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 7: Ruaha to Selous Game Reserve

After breakfast, depart for Selous Game Reserve, one of Africa’s largest protected areas. The journey offers picturesque views of the Tanzanian countryside. Arrive at your lodge in Selous by afternoon, where you can relax before embarking on an evening boat safari along the Rufiji River. Witness the spectacular riverine landscape as you spot hippos, crocodiles, and birdlife. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 8: Full Day in Selous Game Reserve

Spend the day exploring Selous Game Reserve with a combination of game drives and a boat safari. Start your morning with a game drive, searching for elephants, buffaloes, and predators like lions and leopards. After lunch, enjoy a boat safari on the Rufiji River, where you can observe wildlife up close along the water’s edge. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 9: Walking Safari and Game Drive in Selous

Begin your day with an exciting walking safari, led by an experienced ranger. This unique experience allows you to explore the bush on foot, learning about the flora, smaller fauna, and animal tracking techniques. After breakfast, continue with a game drive, covering different parts of the reserve. Enjoy lunch in the bush and return to your lodge for a relaxed evening.

Day 10: Selous to Dar es Salaam – Departure

After breakfast, enjoy a final morning game drive in Selous before returning to Dar es Salaam. Arrive in the late afternoon and be transferred to Julius Nyerere International Airport for your departure flight, marking the end of your 10-day safari adventure.
